Luton Airport to Windsor Castle

Luton Airport to Windsor Castle

Highlights of Windsor Castle:

Windsor Castle is the largest occupied castle in the world which is still used by the monarchy in the United Kingdom. The Conqueror built a wooden fortress here over 900 years ago. This has been a royal palace and residence of Queen Elizabeth II for a long time. Despite its daily use for royal business, much of the palace is open to the public.

Most parts of the castle are open to visitors all year round, including the State Apartments, Queen Mary’s dolls’ house, semi-state rooms and St. George’s Chapel. This Chapel is where many royal weddings and funerals have taken place.
